This is Ron's third year as a volunteer. He is the father of two children, a boy and a girl, both in grade 5. His wife left him for another man and since then he is the only one in charge of the children. He has a job on call (that involves cleaning tanks) and comes to volunteer whenever he does not have any paid work. However, there are more the days in which he volunteers rather than being called to work.
The impact the program has had in his and his children's life:
His children have learnt why it is important to eat veggies. He has also learnt the importance of having a healthy diet and enjoys increasing the children's awareness about it. Volunteering for In-Visible means a lot to him. He explains that when he is in the kitchen he forgets about all his problems and finds support from all the other volunteers. Being in good company makes him feel stronger and happier.
