Rosie

Rosie is a mother of six children. She has one daughter (in grade five) currently in the feeding program. This is her third year as full time volunteer. She has one of the best attendance records in the program with no absence since she started. On top of this, she has a laundry job every afternoon after finishing the day in the kitchen. Her husband is a fishmonger.

The impact of the program in her and her daughter's life:
It's helped her whole family to save money. She was very shy before starting to volunteer.  She was alone all day looking after the house or working in the laundry shop. Thanks to the program, she started socialising on a daily basis, which has enabled her to build strong relationships and become more confident and happier. Her daughter now has a healthier diet and has shown academic improvements.
